Seller’s Home Inspection Checklist
The following list will describe the amount of time a home inspector spends in a home. It will also save further disruption from return trips to inspect items that were not visible or accessible during the original inspection.
- All the utilities should be turned on.
- Replace any burned out light bulbs.
- Remove items blocking access to the attic (usually in closet of hall ceiling).
- Remove cars blocking ceiling attic accesses (usually in garage ceiling or upper wall).
- Remove any items blocking access to the water meter.
- Remove any items blocking the front of the main electrical panel.
- Remove any items blocking access to the furnace.
- Remove any items in the washing machine.
- Gas pilots should all be lit.
- Remove any items in the dishwasher.
- Remove any items in the washing machine.
- Make arrangements for your pets.
- Provide keys or unlock sheds and out buildings.
